Zigzags is a private company owned by Ms Julie McKinlay.  The company is OFSTED registered and is supported by Sefton Early Years.  We aim to fill a 'care gap' for children attending St.Patrick's Catholic Primary School, ages 4-11 years.  We provide a high standard of care for children both before and after school during term time.

Zigzags is committed to achieving the highest recognised level of quality assurance.  We offer a secure and welcoming environment in which the children can continue to develop socially, emotionally, intellectually, culturally and physically.  Zigzags aim to provide parents/carers peace of mind whilst enabling them to access employment and training opportunities, which, in turn, help to support the family unit.

Zigzags provide an environment which will offer children the opportunity to relax in a quiet and comfortable area or freely select from the wide range of activities on offer.  It is the policy at Zigzags to provide a healthy breakfast and teatime snack, as well as encouraging the children to make healthy lifestyle choices.  The menus will be varied and healthy whilst giving the children to experience foods from other cultures; there will always be two snack choices.

Zigzags employs a Manager with all relevant qualifications and experiences.  The manager is  supported by a dedicated, experienced team.  All members of staff either hold, or are working towards a childcare qualification, are First-aid trained and have a food hygiene certificate.   In addition every member of staff regularly attends training relevant to their post.

Parents are welcome to visit anytime to discuss their requirements and to meet staff.
