Lower KS2 completed 2 and half laps of the track to race a distance of 1000m and upper KS2 raced around the track 4 times covering a distance of 1 mile. There were individual medal winners for 1st - 3rd place in each Year Group age category for both boys and girls. All children completed their distances giving the race their 100% and demonstrated excellent resilience, determination and sportsmanship!

TCS Mini Marathon 2024! Our children from Reception up to Year 6 had lots of fun this week completing their 2.6 miles as part of our participation in Sefton Schools say #kNOwKnifeCrime event. We want to keep our community safe and be well resourced in the event someone needs medical assistance.

On Wednesday April 17th 18 of our pupils from Years 5 and 6 and 4 members of staff ran from St. Patrick's to Stanley High School in the 10th leg of the #kNOwKnifeCrime relay race. A bleeding control kit, developed by the Major Trauma Centre at Aintree University Hospital, can prove lifesaving for a victim of a serious cut. Eighty four schools participated in the event and we are very proud ofthe children who represented our school.

Southport Schools Swimming Gala 2024. Well done to all the swimmers who represented the school this year. You all swam so well! Super congratulations to the girls who won the girls swimming relay and placed 1st overall.

Some of the Year 4 children had a wonderful time at Christ The King School taking part in a dodgeball tournament against other local Primary Schools. The children played well as a team and demonstrated good values of honesty and perseverance.

We are very proud of Alexis, Thomas and Callen who were successful in becoming ambassadors of sport for our school. After attending training at Christ the King High School we look forward to the children promoting sport as well as Olympic and Paralympic values in our school.

Year 2 had lots of fun doing multi skills at Christ the King High School today!

Today we were visited by Beth Tweddle MBE from Beth Tweddle Gymnastics. The children were very excited to meet a bronze medal Olympian gymnast and we hope it has inspired some of our gymnasts in school to continue doing what they love.
