5J thoroughly enjoyed being Spartans and invading 5C (who were Athenians) this afternoon, while learning all about the different aspects of invasion - including tactics and reconciliation. We then discussed how it may have felt to have been invaded, as well as the effects on everyday life.
Anglo-Saxons and Vikings
5J concentrated so hard this afternoon in order to create their own Viking Longship :)
Who is better: King Alfred the Great or King Athelstan? 5J really enjoyed debating reasons for and against each king as the best monarch!
