Meeting Rachel Brown-Finnis

Sky Sports - Living for Sports

On Friday 21st March, our Bronze Ambassadors took part in a Sky Sports - Living for Sports Day at Christ the King High School. They met with Rachel Brown - Finnis who is the Everton Ladies First Team Goal Keeper.

Rachel currently plays for Everton Ladies in the newly formed FA Women’s Super League, as well as England & Great Britain’s Women’s football team.

On her role as an Athlete Mentor, Rachel comments: “I got involved with Sky Sports Living for Sport because I want to use my experiences to help young people to develop their skills. Sport is something that everyone can learn from and I am excited to show young people how sport can change their lives and improve their outlook, as it has done for me.” (www.livingforsport.skysports.com/mentors/rachel-finnis)

Pupils received top tips in a skills and drills session, got advice on how to get involved in football and had the chance to ask their burning questions about what it is like to play for England.

Rachel said "The Sports Leaders were a credit to the school. They are some of the nicest pupils I've worked with.”
