We had a very special day in school today as we celebrated the feast day of St Patrick. Throughout the day, children participated in a range of activities and have had lots of fun.
Children in Key Stage 2 attended Mass this morning and it felt wonderful to be able to share this time with Fr John and some of our parishioners. Children in Reception and Key Stage 1 visited Church this afternoon and shared a reflection with Fr John. These are such memorable experiences for children and staff and we are very blessed to have such close links with Fr John and our parish community.
Lots of fun was had by all today as we celebrated World Book Day. Children and staff looked fantastic and there was an excited buzz around school. Children have loved sharing their favourite books and have taken part in a wide range of activities throughout the day.
Children and staff enjoyed a visit to Church today to celebrate Ash Wednesday which marks the beginning of Lent. Fr John led us in prayer and song and this time of reflection was very special for us all. We prayed for the children of Ukraine and all raised our hands as a sign of prayer and blessing for the Ukrainian community in the midst of their suffering. Fr John gave each class some holy water for their Collective Worship table and this will be used throughout Lent to bless our children and support them throughout their Lenten journey.
