As a school, we have enjoyed learning more about the Parish community and reflecting on the special roles members of our parish play. Fr John taught us a new hymn on his guitar and we loved signing it for our assembly.

On March 4th and 6th 2020, Year 3 classes celebrated their assemblies for pupils, parents and staff. The topic was 'Listening and Sharing' and they celebrated God's Word beautifully by role playing the Mass.

Our Year 4 classes presented their topic, 'Giving and Receiving' which is part of the whole school theme, 'Eucharist- Relating'

They embraced scripture through drama, chose uplifting hymns to sing and choreographed dances.

Assembly- Giving and Receiving

Each year our School Councillors lead a whole school assembly to remember those who have died in conflicts throughout the world and also to remember those close to us who are no longer with us.

The councillors present their assembly through poetry, role play, readings and prayer.  This year each class had created a wreath which was placed at the foot of the cross by their class councillors as the children listened to 'Remember' sung by Josh Groban.  A member of staff played the 'Last Post' , followed by a minute's silence leading to a powerpoint presentation to 'The Prayer' sung by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli
