  • Collection for Refugees & Asylum Seekers

    Mon 29 Jan 2024

A huge thank you to everyone who donated items for the refugees and asylum seekers who have recently been placed in Liverpool. It was wonderful to be able to take so many bags of toys, children's shoes, school uniform and nappies to Church on Friday. These will make such a difference to families in enormously challenging circumstances.

Children saw all the items that had been collected in our assemblies on Friday and Fr John displayed some of them in St Patrick's and St Marie's Churches over the weekend.

Many thanks again for supporting these families in need.

  • Christmas Parties

    Fri 22 Dec 2023

Children thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas parties yesterday. They participated in a range of Christmas activities and played a variety of party games. In the afternoon, children had party food and school was filled with Christmas music and lots of dancing.

Children in Key Stage 1 had a visit from a very special guest who made time in his busy schedule to come and collect their letters and talk about the magic of Christmas Eve. It was great to see children in each class having an afternoon of fun – very well deserved after all their hard work throughout the term.

  • Advent Reflections

    Wed 20 Dec 2023

Over the last few weeks each class has visited Church for an Advent Reflection with Fr John and Linda. Children and staff have enjoyed this special time together, reflecting on the wonderful gift of Jesus at Christmas.

In October, Pope Francis made a request for children around the world to pray for the children in war-torn countries. Following each reflection, our children have decorated little cardboard people with either prayers or key words to share the Advent message of hope and peace. These 'prayer-people' will be displayed in the Churches of St Patrick's and St Marie's over the coming weeks as we pray very specially for those who are living with the turmoil and devastation that war creates.
