  • Pirates of the Curry Bean

    Fri 14 Jul 2023

Year 6 performed brilliantly in their production, Pirates of the Curry Bean, this week. There was acting, singing (including some amazing soloists) and dancing, all of the highest quality. Children kept the audience well and truly entertained. A huge well done to the children and a big thank you to all the staff involved: Mrs Garlick, Miss McAteer and Mr Jacques. Congratulations on such a successful show!

  • Produce from the Veggie Patch

    Fri 14 Jul 2023

Children in Year 4 have been very busy digging up some of the vegetables they have been growing in the Veggie Patch. Clive was on hand to help children who have been looking after their plants over time. The vegetables that children have grown will be donated to the Soup Kitchen.

Thank you to Clive, Mrs Williams and our keen gardeners for working so hard to maintain the Veggie Patch.

  • Summer Reading Challenge

    Wed 12 Jul 2023

Southport Library are holding their Summer Reading Challenge again this year and we were delighted to welcome Matt and Sue into school yesterday to talk to the children about it.

This year's challenge is called Ready Steady Read and there are stickers and some other goodies to collect. To take part in the challenge, children need to read six books during the summer holidays, taking out two books at a time and then returning them to complete each section of the
challenge. Children who complete the challenge will receive a certificate on return to school in the Autumn
term. We can't wait to see how many children take part!

  • Summer Fayre

    Wed 12 Jul 2023

Thank you to everyone who made our Summer Fayre a huge success on Friday. It was wonderful to see so many parents, grandparents and members of the local community coming together to raise funds for school. We raised a tremendous £1842.46 and are very grateful for everyone's contributions.

A phenomenal amount of hard work took place behind the scenes to put this event together. Sincere thanks to Louise Kitchen and the PTA for all their hard work. Thank you also to Mrs Hill who played a significant role in the organisation as well.
