During the Autumn Term 2017, our Year 6 classes presented their topic, 'Loving' which is part of the whole school theme, 'Family'
They embraced scripture through drama, chose uplifting hymns to sing and choreographed dances. Our Reception Classes were introduced by their Year 6 buddies and we enjoyed welcoming our new pupils to our school community.
Each year our School Councillors lead a whole school assembly to remember those who have died in conflicts throughout the world and also to remember those close to us who are no longer with us.
The councillors present their assembly through poetry, role play, readings and prayer. This year each class had created a wreath which was placed at the foot of the cross by their class councillors as the children listened to 'Remember' sung by Josh Groban. A member of staff played the 'Last Post' , followed by a minute's silence leading to a powerpoint presentation to 'The Prayer' sung by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli
