Star of the Week

11.3.22 - Joseph

 

Joseph is our 'Star of the Week' for always going above and beyond in all areas of the curriculum. Joseph has an excellent attitude to his school work and has made fantastic progress with his reading.

 

Joseph is an excellent role model on the playground. He sets a good example to others when playing with our class equipment and he always includes others in his games. Joseph is a very loving member of our class. He always puts others before himself and we love his kindness and enthusiasm. 

 

Joseph, I am so proud of how hard you are working. Your big heart and knowledge of the world always puts a big smile on our faces. Keep up the great work and keep being you. You're amazing! 

 

 

4.3.22 - Skye

 

Skye is our 'Star of the Week' for having an excellent attitude to school life. Skye has worked consistently hard across all areas of the curriculum, producing some outstanding pieces of work. 

 

Skye set such a great example during our visit to Church this week. She was sensible and respectful and back in the classroom, she produced a beautiful prayer. 

 

Well done for having such an amazing week, Skye. You have the best personality and your smile always brightens up our classroom. Keep up the great work and continue being the amazing little girl that you are! We are all so proud of you. smiley

 

4.2.22 - Emily 

 

Emily is our 'Star of the Week' for excellent work in Maths. Emily has produced some excellent division work using the 'bus stop method.' She confidently applied her learning to solve challenging problems. 

 

Emily has also been a star throughout the school day. Emily is a fabulous friend to all. She's kind, caring, patient and always puts others before herself. Out on the playground, Emily always makes sure that she includes her friends. We can always count on Emily to put a smile on our faces.

 

Well done for having a superstar week, Emily. We are so lucky to have someone as special as you in our class.

21.1.22 – Esmé

 

Esmé is our 'Star of the Week' for being a positive and hardworking Year 3 pupil. This week, Esmé has produced some magnificent pieces of writing based on our new text, The Lost Thing (Shaun Tan). Esmé has wowed us with her fantastic ideas and her ability to create imaginative similes. Resilience, patience and determination are some other qualities that Esmé has shown this week.

 

Esme is often noticed by other teachers for her kind and gentle nature and wonderful manners. She always makes an effort to stop what she’s doing so that she can hold a door open for class teachers and her peers. Esmé also sets a brilliant example when out on the playground. She plays with our play equipment sensibly and always invites others to join in with her games.

 

Well done for having such a super week, Esmé. You bring heaps of love into our classroom, and we are so lucky to have a friend like you.

 

 

3.12.21 – Liam

 

Liam is this week’s ‘Star of the Week’ for showing heaps of enthusiasm in his English lessons. Liam has enjoyed sharing his grammar knowledge with his friends and has been eagerly looking for ways to challenge his learning.

 

During our visit to Church this week, Liam was a credit to his class. He respectfully shared his ideas and joined in beautifully with Father John’s songs. Liam has also been a star out on the playground. He is always kind and inclusive and has shown us what a fabulous little footballer he is!

 

Liam, you are an absolute joy to teach, and our classroom wouldn’t be the same without your big smile and bubbly personality.  Well done for having such a wonderful week. Keep up the amazing work and keep being you! 😊

 

 

26.11.21 – Matilda

 

Matilda is this week’s ‘Star of the Week’ for being a superstar mathematician! Matilda has oozed confidence when solving multiplication and related division facts. Matilda has completed all of her mathematical challenges with independence, maintaining such a positive attitude.

 

Matilda has also been a little star on the playground. She has taken care of our new play equipment and has been a lovely friend to all. During the school day, Matilda presents as a trustworthy and mature Year 3 pupil. We love how helpful she is, and Mrs Garlick really appreciates having a little classroom cleaning fairy!

 

Well done for having such an amazing week, Matilda. You have a fabulous work ethic which is helping you to make so many wonderful achievements. You have the most infectious giggle and the best energy – we love sharing a class with you! Keep up the positive attitude and keep being you!

 

 

 

19.11.21 – William

 

William is this week’s Star of the Week for working exceptionally hard across all areas of the curriculum. William loves a challenge and is always going above and beyond what is expected of him. This week, he solved some complex missing number problems when subtracting three-digit numbers – he did this with sheer determination and resilience!

 

William has also been a star out on the playground and during unstructured times of the day. He always includes other in his games and makes a real effort to ensure all of his friends are happy. We all appreciate William’s kindness and gentle nature.

 

Well done for have the most fabulous week and for always being yourself, William. Your infectious smile, bubbly personality and phenomenal work ethic always brightens up our classroom. You are a true gentleman so don’t ever change.  I am so proud of you!

 

5.11.21- Lois

 

Lois is our ‘Star of the Week’ for settling back into school life so brilliantly. Lois has set an excellent example to the other Year 3s by showing kindness, listening carefully and working exceptionally hard across all areas of the curriculum. In Maths, Lois has produced some excellent addition and subtraction work, as well as some fabulous spellings in her English lessons.

 

Lois was also a little star during our visit to Church this week. Several teachers commented on how beautifully she joined in with the prayers and songs. Well done Lois, you’re a superstar!

 

Lois, keep up the great work and keep being you. You’re an amazing Year 3 and you make me smile every day!

 

8.10.21- Maggie 

 

Maggie is this week’s ‘Star of the Week’ for having an excellent attitude to learning and showing determination to succeed. Maggie has made huge steps of progress with her reading and phonics which has made us all smile. Maggie works extremely hard throughout the day, and we couldn’t ask for more. 

 

Maggie is also a little star on the playground. She always includes other children in her games and looks out for those who may not have someone to play with. If someone is feeling down, Maggie is always the first to offer a hug and her infectious giggle always brightens up our day.

 

Maggie, you are the most wonderful, inspirational little girl and you make your teachers, family and friends feel so proud.  Keep being the bright star that you are – you’re amazing, Maggie!

 

 

1.10.21- Noah

 

Noah is our ‘Star of the Week’ for working exceptionally hard in his English and Guided Reading lessons. Noah produced some wonderful sentences when identifying prepositions and contributed great ideas when looking at a challenging text.

 

Noah is always ready to learn and puts 100% into everything that he does. Many teachers recognise Noah around school because he is always so polite and kind. He is a wonderful friend on the playground and he oozes positivity.

 

Well done for having such a great start to Year 3, Noah. You make me smile every day and I couldn’t ask for someone more hardworking than you.

 

You’re amazing, Noah!

 

 

24.9.21 – Lucas

 

Lucas is our ‘Star of the Week’ because he has been the most polite, kind-hearted and sensible Year 3 pupil. He has worked his socks off in every lesson and has made his teachers very proud.  In Maths, Lucas has displayed excellent knowledge of 3-digit numbers, solving some challenging word problems. 

 

Lucas, I am so proud of how well you have settled into the Juniors. You have a heart of gold and bring so much love and laughter into our classroom. We are so lucky to have someone as special as you in our class.

 

Keep up the great work and keep being you!

 

 

17.9.21- Molly

 

Molly is our 'Star of the Week' for working exceptionally hard and showing heaps of determination to succeed. Even when Molly has found something tricky, she has continued to smile and has tried her best - Mrs Garlick couldn't ask for more! Molly is kind, respectful and such a loving friend. She always goes above and beyond what is expected of her, and she has made her teachers very proud. 

 

Well done, Molly. Keep being the amazing Year 3 pupil that you are!

 

10.9.21- Darcey

 

Darcey is our 'Star of the Week' for showing excellent enthusiasm across all areas of the curriculum. Darcey is always ready and sets an excellent example during whole class discussions. We love hearing her fantastic ideas and Mrs Garlick has been particularly proud of Darcey's reading. 

 

Darcey, you bring heaps of love and laughter into our classroom and that's why we are so lucky to have you in our class!

 

 

3.9.21- Bobby

 

Bobby is our 'Star of the Week' for setting such a great example to the children in Year 3. He has settled into the Juniors brilliantly and has shown what a mature and kind-hearted young man he is. Bobby has a heart of gold and is already making his teachers and friends proud. Well done!

 

Keep up the great work and keep being you, Bobby!
