  • A Letter from Pope Francis

    Fri 23 Sep 2022

We were absolutely delighted to receive a letter today from Pope Francis. Last year, children in the current Year 5 wrote to Pope Francis in response to his encyclical letter 'Laudato Si'. They shared their ideas about how important it is to look after God's creation and ways in which they do this themselves. Well done children!

  • School and Eco Councillors

    Fri 23 Sep 2022

At St Patrick's, we are proud to have a School Council as it represents the views and opinions of the most important people in the school: our children.

Our elections took place last week and we were thrilled with the number of children in KS2 who wanted to be a potential member of the council. They had all worked hard to prepare a manifesto outlining their vision and suitability for the role and then presented this through a short speech to their peers. Years 3 and 4 held their elections in class and pupils in Years 5 and 6 presented their manifestos to all KS2 classes.

On Friday 16th September 2022, pupils took part in a democratic vote and two representatives were elected from each class. The results were announced at the House Point Assembly on Tuesday 20th September.

Whilst this work is taking place, there are some temporary adjustments regarding access to the school office. Please see the letter on the School Updates and COVID-19 page (within the Parents Section) for more information.
