Democracy

Democracy plays a key role within the day to day life of our school. At St Patrick's, we believe that children should have opportunities to have their voices heard. We value their contributions and opinions and we encourage them to do this in may different ways.

Our School Council is an elected body of pupil representatives. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and to feel part of the whole school community. Many potential candidates presented high quality manifestos, outlining their ideas and suitability for the role of School Councillor. On Friday 8th October 2021, all KS2 pupils voted for two representatives from each class in Years 5 and 6 and placed their voting slips in the official ballot box, provided by Sefton Council. Years 3 and 4 held their elections in class.

The results were announced at the House Point Assembly on 11th October 2021. A huge congratulations to our newly appointed members. We will be meeting regularly to discuss how we can best support our school and the wider community.
