The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark - By Jill Tomlinson
We have been enjoying listening to our class reader - The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark this half term. We have made predictions, discussed the characters and events within the story and written character descriptions about Plop the baby barn owl.
We then moved on to looking at non-chronological reports. We focused on the different layout and text features and wrote our own reports about owls.
The Boy Who Grew Dragons - By Andy Shepherd
We have been enjoying listening to our class reader - The Boy Who Grew Dragons this half term. We have made predictions, discussed the characters and events within the story and have been doing some writing linked to the story.
This week we completed a character description of Flicker the dragon. We all worked extremely hard and loved having the opportunity to read ours aloud to a friend!
