Welcome to Year 4- Mrs Forden's Class
General Information
Children will choose a reading book each week and will have the opportunity to change it when the reading record has been signed. Please spend time with your child discussing the setting, characters and plot to further their understanding of the text.
Children are asked to bring their reading book and record to school on a daily basis as this will enable me to provide a comment based on progress made and to inform you when your child has taken part in Guided Reading sessions.
Homework
Homework will be set each Friday and should be completed and returned in the folder provided the following Friday. Weekly homework will include a Numeracy based activity to reinforce learning which has taken place during the week and a spelling sheet. The children will be tested each Friday on the spelling words and they will be assessed on times table facts.
P.E.
P.E. sessions take place each Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure full P.E. is brought to school and that items are clearly labelled.
