To Know You More Clearly

The new Religious Education Directory (RED) is being phased into school during this academic year and the next. This will replace the Come and See programme that is taught currently. The new directory is entitled ‘To Know You More Clearly’.

This program not only imparts knowledge but also cultivates a genuine and enduring relationship with God, contributing to the overall spiritual development of the students. Scripture is the foundation of each branch and will develop knowledge, understanding, skills, compassion and awe and wonder across the curriculum.

Branches

There are six branches in ‘To know You More Clearly’ – one per half term. The branches are:

1. Creation and Covenant
2. Prophecy and Promise
3. From Galilee to Jerusalem
4. From Desert to Garden
5. To the Ends of the Earth
6. Dialogue and Encounter

Lenses

Each branch is explored through the following lenses:

• Hear
• Believe
• Celebrate
• Live

Ways of Knowing

The ways of knowing describe the skills that pupils develop as they progress though the religious education curriculum. These are:

• Understand - See
• Discern - Judge
• Respond - Act
