At St Patrick's Catholic Primary School we strive to provide a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for all children in Key Stage 2. Priority is given to increasing water confidence and ensuring that all children are given every opportunity to learn to swim.

Swimming lessons take place at Dunes swimming pool and are timetabled throughout the academic year for children in Key Stage 2.

All children will be required to attend swimming lessons as part of the KS2 National Curriculum from Year 3 to Year 6. 

Swimming lessons take place each week on Thursday mornings and last 30 minutes. Most year groups will attend 9 weeks of swimming. It is important that if your child is unable to swim on a particular date that a letter is brought in stating the reason why your child is unable to participate.
