Early Years

Welcome to St. Patrick's Early Years, where children begin their exciting journey of learning, friendship and discovery. We are a dedicated and extremely experienced staff team who serve an amazing community of families.

We provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to feel happy, confident and valued. At St. Patrick's, we prioritise forming strong partnerships with parents and carers to ensure that each family flourishes, and we work with families to support every child's personal development, enabling them to grow spiritually, emotionally and physically.

Our Early Years curriculum is carefully designed to inspire curiosity, creativity and a love of learning from the very beginning. Through a balance of play, exploration and purposeful activities, children develop the skills and knowledge they need to thrive. Reading is at the heart of our curriculum. We know that learning to read fluently and developing a love of reading opens up the curriculum and the world around us.

We encourage children to become independent learners who are willing to try new things, solve problems and learn from their experiences. We place a strong emphasis on developing communication, language and social skills, helping children to build positive relationships with others. Developing children's vocabulary is paramount, and we give children the opportunity to talk for different purposes and audiences.

We know that choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent, and we encourage you to come for a visit to meet our friendly and experienced team.

From January 2027 we are very excited to announce the opening of our brand new nursery school. We have both 15 and 30 places available. Children are welcome to attend after their third birthday.
