School Council Elections

Our School Council elections took place last week.

Years 3 and 4 held their elections in class with children delivering their manifestos outlining their ideas for making our school even better.

Pupils in Year 5 and 6 had to register their intention to stand for election with Mrs Holmes by mid-day on Monday, 17th September, completing a form which required two sponsors.  Then on Wednesday, 19th September, all the candidates from years 5 and 6 visited all classes in Key Stage 2 to deliver their manifestos.

Election day Thursday, 20th September:-  All pupils in Key Stage to came along to the ICT suite, which was turned into a Polling Station for the morning, to register their vote for their Year 5 and 6 Councillors.  When they had filled out their voting slips they put them in the official ballot box, provided by Sefton Council.

All the results were announced later that afternoon at the House Point Assembly.

Well done to all those who took part and congratulations to all our new School Councillors!!!
