On Friday 11th November, Remembrance Day, children and staff observed a minute's silence at 11am.
In the afternoon all children and staff gathered in the hall for our Remembrance Day Assembly which was led by the School Council. Each class had made wreaths which were laid at the foot of the cross by the councillors. The children poetry and music we remembered those who died in the two World Wars and subsequent conflicts. The children listened to the 'Last Post' followed by two minutes' silence and a Year 6 pupil recited :-
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them
