Seddon's Builders Site Safety Assembly

Monday 4th March,

Today Peter and Tom from Seddon's Builders visited school to deliver an assembly to our KS2 pupils on site safety. Seddon's are currently working on a project on the Hatherlow House site opposite Hesketh Park.

Building sites can look very attractive playgrounds with the diggers, cranes and building materials and the aim of the assembly was to highlight the fact that building sites are not playgroundsand can be very dangerous places.

Peter (Health & Safety Manager) and Tom (the Site Manager) delivered a very serious message to the children in an informal manner, showing the pupils a DVD and inviting one of the pupils to dress up in the safety equipment!

Seddon's have invited the children to take part in an art competition and also to contact Tom at the site to organise supervised visits.

Thanks to Peter, Tom and Seddon's for a very interesting and informative assembly.
